For few days we invite you to inhale and exhale in the heart of Dominica, to recharge, feel good and smile … We will practice yoga through the 5 elements, enjoy hiking in the Jungle and indulge our senses.

Our Program

Our yoga program is designed for all levels, even absolute beginners. You do not have to be an experienced yogi, but would be helpful if you were to try out a couple of classes before you arrive!

We emphasize safety, awareness, intelligence – and the joie de vivre of yoga!

• Morning classes will be moslty Vinyasa taught by Nanda or Gwenola (influenced from various styles).
• Afternoon sessions will vary between Yin Yoga, Restorative, Pranayama.

Jungle Bay’s two signature yoga studios feature rustic luxury stoned walls, polished hardwood floors, large windows and a 14’ foot ceilings that overlook the Caribbean Sea. The spaces offer both a dramatic view and ideal space to practice.

We will be hiking in the beautiful island of Dominica known as “The Nature Island of the Caribbean” due to its lush scenery and varied flora and fauna.

Dominica is largely covered by rainforest and is home to the world’s second-largest hot spring, Boiling Lake. It is mostly volcanic and has few beaches; therefore, tourism has developed more slowly than on neighboring islands. Nevertheless, Dominica’s mountains, rainforests, freshwater lakes, hot springs, waterfalls, and diving spots make it an attractive eco-tourism destination.

Yoga Instructors

Nanda Mortier

The teachings of Nanda are open and friendly, infused with a sense of humor and strong alignment. She believes in challenging boundaries, the power of a smile and anything that makes your eyes shine. Laughter is mandatory in her classes and her philosophy is “just make it to your mat, the rest will take care of itself”. Off the mat, Nanda is a mother, a salsa dancer and a surfer. She is naturally enthusiastic, loves good food, and believes in the power of laughter to carry us all through life’s toughest challenges. She has been living in St Barth since she was a child of 2 years old and considers it as her home.

Nanda has been teaching for more than 10 years and holds certifications (700 hours) in Hatha, Vinyasa and Tantra Flow Yoga. She is certified in Thai Massage Nuad Boran and is a Level II Reiki master. Nanda offers Atma Janzu relaxation in the warm shallow waters of St Barth (aqua therapy). As a Vipassana practitioner and a strong believer of the positive effects of meditation on to our life, she encourages everyone to practice regularly.

Island Karma;

I was born and raised on a French Brittany island: Belle-île en mer.

I am grateful for teaching on the beautiful island of St.Barth’s

Yoga helps me everyday to all the levels of my being balancing my Yang life to my Yin side 🌟🙏

My goal is to provide you with more fluidity on the mat and in your daily life through a practice adapted to all  levels.

Yoga shows me gratitude for beauty of the life finding the sacred space that we all have.
